Paris, France – The 40th TEXWORLD Paris show aspires as ever to offer a venue for international weavers and 730 exhibitors have been chosen by the selection committee on the strength of the quality and benefits of their products. There is an increase in the number of previous exhibitors now returning after missing several of the recent shows, such as some major Egyptian manufacturers that specialize in cotton.

“The keys to the success of TEXWORLD Paris are exhibitors’ increased loyalty and their unfailing readiness to attend, in addition to attendance by new countries. TEXWORLD Paris is for many a special marketplace that simply cannot to be missed by the fashion sector”, says Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.

Backed by its business network extending throughout the world, Texworld is a platform that offers products with cosmopolitan flair and overflows with unrivalled choices, which are both distinctive and respond to market requirements. Turkey, with 87 exhibitors, remains the 2nd most represented country after China and continues to leave its mark on the show by virtue of its skills and expertise, Korea ranks third with 71 exhibitors, some 30 of which are to be found in the KOFOTL pavilion. India with 53 exhibitors and Pakistan with 19 bring up the rear of this top five; both of these countries consider TEXWORLD Paris as THE international platform for market opportunities.

Watch out for the arrival of the French firm of Domotex, a specialist in prints, and of a Canadian company designing jeans that are made in China. The ranges for shirting, jacquard, fake fur and synthetic leather will be especially varied in the 17-18 winter season.

ELITE, the segment dedicated to customised solutions, welcomes to its second show 21 exhibitors, the majority of which played a role in setting up this space for specialist offers that are adapted for European markets.

The show will be host for the third time to the FRANKfurtstyleaward, the renowned international fashion competition that has promoted young designers since 2007.

A series of lectures about the latest developments in the sector, news from exhibitors, catwalk shows and the Trends Forum go to make up a varied and imaginative programme, providing visitors with food for thought as they work their way around TEXWORLD Paris.
